When we walked into Omro Middle School the first thing the principal told us was that they were a “bicycle friendly” school. I didn’t understand what they meant but instantly we were taken to the gymnasium and shown then fully stocked bike shop, bicycles waiting for repair, and 2 warehouses full of bicycles ready for kids to check out and ride whenever they wanted. Obviously bicycle friendly was an understatement as almost every person in the gymnasium had bicycle experience. We gave our safety tips and it was awesome to be able to tell the children that they could learn to work on their bikes themselves and get really amazing experience that some schools do not give. Tippy with a can can footplant during practice.

Koji Kraft is back and still as tired as ever. He has been of his bicycle for almost 9 months and, of course, he right away wanted to get back into the show game. Here was on point, doing almost every trick he had before his last crash and even whipped out a nosepick tailwhip for fun. Pumped to have him back on his bicycle and back to his old self.

What can be said about Jake that hasn’t already been said? His tricks are dialed, he has been asked to a lot of proms already this year, and most importantly, his trick list is growing by leaps and bounds lately. Here is a casual 360 no hands into the hearts of many.

This picture best shows Koji’s reactivation of his BMX career. Superman, stretched as far as it goes, with a smile on his face. Pumped to have you back Koji!

It is amazing how consistent Dan Setmeyer is at flipping on a ramp only 5 feet wide. He does them almost every show but at this particular instance, he decided he wanted to try a backflip fakie. Mind you, he decided this about 20 min. before the final performance and even watched a “how-to” video, to the dismay of his team manager. Alas, he tried it, and pulled it first try. BMX is so much fun, you ought to try it yourself!

La Jake was back in the saddle and doing all sorts of amazing stunts to the thrill of the crowd. 360 tailwhip while the red seats looming in the background.

Jake just learned truck drivers (360 barspin) and wanted a photo of it. This is that photo. Since this has been taken he has done this stunt on every gigantic obstacle out there. Neat!

Long time friend of Division Joey “Birdflu” Hill is a cincinnati local and has been in the BMX game a long time. In fact, he has done a ton of shows on lots of different stunt teams. He knows the game pretty well and when not managing his own team, he is busting for ours. Perfect superman with orange shirts everywhere.

This is just a straight tailwhip, but it’s the first time Dan has ever just thrown a regular tailwhip. Usually he is so far extended that you wonder if he will ever find his pedals in time to land. I don’t know why I like this, but the style has a lot to do with it.

BMX scenes survive because of people like Jutt Wood. He started his own BMX shop with the help of fellow die hard BMX’ers in his town of Newark Ohio and is the reason BMX will survive in his little town. There is nothing better than giving to something bigger than oneself, and Jutt has done that time and time again. Fact is, he is as good a bike rider as he is an humanitarian.

OG Scot Draper made the drive from Austin to help us perform in front of thousands in Louisiana. The shows were amazing and he came through with his flawless jumping style and ability to make anyone laugh, just by laughing. He is essential when it comes to getting kids psyched on BMX bicycles and the Sunday BMX rider is welcomed at every show he can attend.

Poor Jake spent 16 hours in a car each way just to get food poisoning and missing the shows. He jumped a total of 3 times the entire weekend and this was one of them. He has that Michael Jordan ability to do better when he is sick. Glad he is feeling better.

Draper was in his 30′s when he learned how to backflip and that makes me really, really happy. Progression is always possible to those with an open mind. He has been throwing these down on the regular and is on his way back to Windell’s in Portland OR as we speak to build trails and live the endless summer dream.

Scot’s partner in crime is Lil Jon and anytime they are together hilarity ensues. Here is a quick 360 before bailing out of every backflip he tried for the weekend. Don’t fret, he’s back and smiling after every one!

And what is an update without a Crazy Dan picture. Tire grab at height while trying to relearn 360′s for the millionth time in his life. Just don’t drop your shoulder Dan!!!!!!

Side by sides are a pretty awesome thing, but when you realize that the take off ramp is only 5 feet wide the impressive meter grows. Think about how big handle bars are these days, more than 2 feet wide each. Leaving only a minimal buffer for safety. Mike Stanek and Corey Ellis getting the job done. I don’t really understand how they didn’t think they would hit with their hands off at the same time. Craziness.

Corey’s trick list is growing really fast. Everything is huge and stretched as far as possible. 360 turndown with the front wheel cranked down.

What do you like better the trick or Dan doing the limbo to not ruin the flash? Great job on all fronts!

When not dodging flashes, he puts on a pretty good show in front of them. Super slow tailwhip that he can do in his sleep. And his foot still hurts then too!

Rare 360 picture from Dan. These have been haunting him, but hopefully this will remind him that they look awesome and he does them better going mach 7.

Flairing the lip is the new barspin. I can’t believe this happened 2 weekends in a row.

Battling snow storms in the mountains is no fun, but when the other side of the mountain is where the show must go on, then you gotta do what you gotta do. After a 6 hour drive turned into 12 we got out of the rig and put on some of the best shows of the year. Pictured is Little Jon putting the bike sideways. For being a wedge landing, people ride it like a steep jump. They make it look pretty awesome!

What can be said about Dan that has not already been said? Tricks are huge, always dialed, and at the very minimal, exciting. He has a nac for going really huge and being a crowd favorite. He is easy to pick out of a crowd, which only helps.

Dan no hands under the watchful eye of the track official.

Rob Darden has been a pretty regular on the Division show circuit this winter. Pretty unbelievable to watch him ride because of the consistency he brings to the table. When he wasn’t waiting, practicing, or doing the show he was out at every close college looking for spots. Truly a committed individual in the game of BMX! Height pole by Little Jon.

Cover Shot, and buddy with a perfect sasquatch walk.

Team Soil is our affiliate over the on left coast has been doing some amazing shows at the Monster Jams in that area. To say the least they bring the best in talent and do shows in one of the hardest places to do shows, the birthplace of BMX. Everyone in California has seen everything before so to get them into a show that has been around for a while is quite difficult. I’ll let the pictures do the talking but those guys do some amazing work.

Old building have such amazing feelings associated with them. The Hampton Coliseum boasts some pretty amazing talent having come though the place but is best known for a door that was supposedly built for Elvis for one of his 4 sold our performances of the place. The sound system was loud, the paint looked old, and the shows were tremendous! Here is another famous human that has shared some of the Elvis fame from the building, Rob Darden with a quick tailwhip in practice. The man has ridden every major situation available in BMX and can now add doing shows in the biggest of venues to his list of things done.

Jake Hinke has been a madman lately, doing shows every weekend and being a full time student is a lot for anyone to take. Somehow he pulls through between catching planes and hanging out in Jamaica Queens. No hands all over the place.

Dan has been having issues with his 360′s lately and this is a pretty appropriate view of what is happening. If ever you find yourself in this situation while spinning, just hold on. It works for Dan somehow.

360 Turndown by Rob Darden once again. He has a boat load of tricks and can fire them off anytime.

Little Jon rides way faster and higher than the large majority of BMX. Here is his version of a 360 and as you can tell, it’s pretty wild on its own. No brakes, hardly any grips left on his bars, and unfiltered BMX and its finest.

Here is another angle of the cover photo. Jake has these wired and it looks like nothing else out there. 360 seat grab x-up stretched perfecly. Another neat stunt added to the shows and neat photos all around! Good shows everyone!

Variety being the spice of life has lead to some pretty interesting characters riding some performances. Zach Newman is comfortable on 13ft. vert ramps, so why not have him huck himself over a 5ft box jump. The idea worked out perfectly and he entertained the West Virginia crowd like no other!

Little Jon has returned after his adventures and has not skipped a beat on the jumping. His style is still unmatched and he feels right at home as this ramp was pieced together from a ramp he was quite familiar with. The fans of Monster Jam are truly lucky to watch him ride his bike in front of them, it doesn’t happen often.

Jutt Wood has been doing the Monster Truck circuit longer than the company has been involved and it shows. He is a show stopper on his own and loved the very unique ramp. He brought a lot to the table in terms of smiles and laughter and it translated wonderfully to the crowed. Jutt is going to be around a lot more for these shows and we are pumped to have him working with us!

We have now done shows at the famous Nassau Coliseum 4 times within the inception of Division Stunt Team. It’s always good to be back in a familiar place and once again, we tore the roof off of the place.

With old buildings come poor ventilation and as you can see from the picture, dust was all over the place. Jake Hinke took a flight and a trip through Jamaica Queens to spend his first time in the place, and he made good use of his time.

I guess if you’re going to have dust in the air, make it look really cool. The flash did a good job of making it look like tiny stars. Neat! Dan Setmeyer turning down.
